Before giving birth, friends who knew I was considering cloth diapering encouraged me to consider a diaper service and LORD THANK YOU that I found 2 the Root and did!! There is so much going on when you are first home with that precious little one and having clean, soft, natural fibers to put on her is THE BEST!! And of course, there is so much to learn about everything. With 2 the Root, you are not just getting clean diapers but the incredible support of Lisa who is AMAZING! Like everyone has shared, she is super responsive, knowledgeable, warm, empathetic, professional, and all around wonderful. I am so proud to be able to support a woman-owned business like hers and so grateful to have had such incredible support in my daughter’s first months in the world! I’ve graduated on to home-laundering (mostly pocket-for-daycare) diapers, but not before being inoculated with great support from Lisa through so so much. I miss my bin and the wonderful service, but am proud to have found such great alternatives to disposables. And grateful to have laundry break…just in case I need a little back-up! ;-)

Cloth diapering feels like a breeze with Lisa’s help and encouragement. She is very courteous and provides a highly customized service. A must during the first few months of a baby.

Unbelievably attentive customer service. Lisa was there for us with every question and issue that arose. The diapers are soft, fresh and clean, and it is good to know that they are never treated with any chemicals that might irritate baby’s skin. Lisa really cares about her customers and wants the best for their babies. Thanks Lisa!

We have been absolutely delighted to use 2 the Root’s diapers. Lisa’s in-home demonstration was both fun and useful, and it made us feel prepared to start using cloth diapers as soon as we got home from the hospital. She was helpful again when our son briefly had a bit of diaper rash, and she helped us quickly figure out what we needed to do to clear it up. Our diapers were spotless and smelled wonderful each week when they arrived, and they were a pleasure to use. We were delighted to get to support a family-owned and environmentally friendly business, and we look forward to using 2 the Root again if we have another child.

The customer service from Lisa and 2 The Root has been fantastic from the get-go. Lisa came to our house and did a thorough demonstration of how to cloth diaper our baby before he was born and answered every single question we had. We felt really at ease after she left our house. Even my husband said she made him feel like cloth diapering was actually doable and not a hassle like he originally though it might be. She has been there for us to answer any questions we have since we started service and is always there with suggestions for what troubleshooting we’ve needed. Cloth diapering really has been easier knowing Lisa is there to help if we need anything. It took a couple of days to really get it down but now we feel like pros!

Lisa’s demo was very helpful as a starting point. It was great to attend just before i had the baby, but i did need more help and after the baby so Lisa came over and showed me again! Thanks to her support, i got comfortable very fast with cloth diapers. In the first few months i found her service invaluable as it was one less thing I needed to worry about while getting to know my baby and getting used to mothering. Lisa is great at very easy to get in touch with and her customer service is off the charts. Cloth diapering is a great compliment to “elimination communication” as you can tell immediately when the baby is wet. My baby is 4 months now and hasn’t had one diaper rash and I attribute this to using cloth prefolds and changing him when he’s wet. However, in the nights he’s in a wet dipe for longer but no problem.

How great to be so well taken care of while knowing that as I’m caring for my baby, I’m also caring for the Earth. 2The Root is a fabulous service that I would highly recommend to anyone.

I am now convinced. I spent the night at my mother’s house, (unexpectedly away from my 2TR stash) and had to use dish rags for diapers. In that moment, I got over my fear of washing diapers since I knew I had to get them back to my mother so she could have the back up diapers back.

Dirty diapers don’t feel like the boogy man; and I’ve been washing the covers on my own. I’m ready to take off! But the icing on the cake was changing Sophie on a park bench yesterday! I’m feeling super bad!

I wish 2TR was on my radar when we had our first child!

We have had a great experience with 2TR. It feels wonderful to know we are not contributing to the landfill, and our baby has had no problems with rashes. The fact that the diapers are laundered organically is icing on the cake.

We’ve had very few challenges with using the diapers so far, and I have to say I was surprised because I expected this to be more complicated than it has been. The few ‘blowouts’ we’ve had have managed to be contained by the diaper cover. Our first child used only disposable and I remember many a onesie being ruined with those!

The best thing about 2theroot is the customer service. Lisa is amazing! She is always available to answer questions, make suggestions, and lend a helping hand with anything cloth diapers! I was really excited about using cloth diapers, my husband was a little more apprehensive. Now that we have been using cloth for a month with our son, my husband is completely on board. We really appreciated the time that Lisa took to come to our house before our son was born to show us how to use the diapers we would be getting. She sends us weekly updates about our service and makes suggestions. My husband and I are thrilled with the service and the fact that we are saving diapers from the landfill. It’s a win-win situation!

When we look at all the diapers in our diaper pail we are so relieved that they are not finding their way to a landfill to stay for many years. Instead they are taken away with special care by Lisa and her team. My daughter is also much happier in cloth diapers. We don’t even need diaper cream.

As a first-time mom, I was overwhelmed by the thought of cloth diapering, but felt I had to switch because of the severe diaper rash my son kept getting from disposables. I feel lucky to have found Lisa! She immediately came to my home when my son was a month old and gave us a tutorial. She made it all so simple – it’s easy to find a package that will work. I love that each week she checks in – she asks questions, suggests modifications and offers tips. Also, she is always available- when I needed additional diapers for a last minute vacation, she dropped them off and helped me make it all work out without a worry. I really feel like I have my very own personal diaper service!

What I’ve appreciate most about Lisa and 2theRoot is the very attentive and caring customer service. We had problems at first getting the right fit and diaper type for my baby, and Lisa invested a lot of time and thought into helping us understand and fix this problem. She gave us a demonstration, checked in frequently with ideas and tips, and offered to come by our home to help until we got it right. Her advice fixed our problems, and our diapers work perfectly! We had originally planned on using a service just for a month, to help us get on our feet, but we’ve extended our use of 2theRoot because of how easy and helpful it has been.

I had tried to do cloth diapers with my first child. But the expense of pocket diapers was too much and I couldn’t get them really clean even if I washed them the same day. I briefly tried prefolds and covers but was frustrated that the newborn poo always leaked into the cover!

On maternity leave with my second baby I was ready to try cloth once more, but still was unsure about the time and money investment and what if it still didn’t work?? I needed help if I was going to make it work.

I contacted Lisa. She has been holding my hand every week for two months now! She anticipated my needs before I even knew I had them, modifying my order slightly to accommodate my growing baby. She incorporated the diapers I already owned into my weekly order, so that I wasn’t wasting the diapers I’d already purchased.

I was given hand-me-down cloth diapers from a relative, but when we first went to use them they SMELLED horrible once wet. I gave the whole stash to Lisa to clean and they came back amazingly clean — Like new! She even did a few repairs on the prefolds that were fraying.

When my baby was ready to go to a family child care provider and I was uncomfortable asking her to do more work, but really wanted to continue to do cloth full time. Lisa gave me the courage to ask and what do you know? His provider was feeling guilty about throwing away the diapers and was happy to learn more about cloth. Lisa is even going to meet with his child care provider and do a quick tutorial for her and her assistant.

Lisa is extremely professional. If delivery is going to be late she emails. If something isn’t exactly as she thought it would be she often makes it up to you with a little extra something else. And she really is about the personal service EVERYWEEK! If you’re worried it will be a hassle, it won’t! Lisa will make it simple!

One clincher for me to use cloth is, by baby didn’t know when he was wet and neither did I when he was in disposables. I just changed on a set schedule. Now with cloth we both know when he’s wet and he’s communicating that with me even at 3 months old. This seems like an important part of the child/parent relationship and basis for potty training.

I’ve been using 2theroot diaper service for about 1 year now. I have to say from the beginning that the customer service was impressive and beyond my expectations. Lisa worked with me to find a solution for my heavy night wetter and she worked with me on creating a diaper plan that would incorporate the expensive diapers I had already purchased and used for my 2 previous children. By the time I had my third I was too busy to launder all the clothes and diapers too and the build up (from three children in the same diapers) was out of control. Since passing my diapers over to Lisa, the diapers actually smell neutral even after being used. And I love being able to throw my diaper bag out my front door once a week and return a few hours later to a fresh bag of diapers on my porch. Using 2theroot has truly made my life easier with 3 young children.

As a first-time mom I was overwhelmed with the idea of cloth diapers, but wanted to do something for the environment instead of disposables. But when I was introduced to 2theroot, I was really impressed at how easy Lisa made things. She has been great at answering questions and coming up with solutions to our diapering problems. If this clueless first-time mom can do it, anyone can!

Excellent service and a wonderful way to be introduced to the world of cloth diapers. I was overwhelmed by my internet research. Lisa was a cherished diaper sherpa!
